Off the Grid in the Ozarks:
Our Stay at a Remote Mountain Cabin
Cozy Cedar Cabin
This remote cabin is a perfect getaway when exploring the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas.
Located near Jasper, the property sits about three miles up a gravel and dirt road, with the final stretch requiring four-wheel drive—so come prepared for a little adventure just getting there.
There are two rental cabins on the property, and we stayed in the smaller one for two nights in Spring 2025.
While the listing mentions Wi-Fi, there was no working internet during our stay—and cell service was also unavailable.
Plan to fully unplug and enjoy the quiet.
One of the standout features is the shared overlook area, offering incredible views and a peaceful spot to take it all in.
